Six Year Plan
The New Kent County Schools Six Year Plan steering committee has completed a year-long process of revisions. At the November 3, 2008 school board meeting, the steering committee presented the proposed revision to the school board.
At the October 5, 2009 school board work session, Annual Goals for the 2009-2011 school year were approved.

School Opening –
New Kent County Public Schools will open on time Tuesday, February 9th.
Because of rapidly changing weather conditions, parents are advised to please be prepared for the high probability of early dismissal with the early onset of snow and sleet.

The New Kent School Board took action at its regular meeting on Monday, December 7, 2009 to approve changing February 15, 2010 (Presidents’ Day) from a student/teacher holiday to a regular school day to make up for the school day missed due to a power outage on November 12.
